Threads, Meta’s rival to X, announced that it has surpassed 100 million daily active users. The announcement made by CEO Mark Zuckerberg is a major milestone for the platform. This figure actually shows a significant user migration from X.
Threads surpasses 100 million daily users
Previously, Meta only released monthly active user statistics. Accordingly, the figure, which was 275 million in November, reached 300 million according to the latest posts. Daily engagement figures were shared for the first time, demonstrating the rapid growth of the platform.
Meta’s strategic moves to promote Threads and introduce new features seem to be driving this growth. The platform has gained one million new users every day for the last three months. The rise of Bluesky, another competitor to X, has also had a positive impact on Threads’ growth.
The addition of features such as a personalized homepage, recommended accounts for new users, and customizable default homepage settings has helped Threads grow. Threads continues its upward trend as users flee the problems on other platforms.
On the other hand, Meta has pledged to stop sharing data between Instagram and Threads users and to allow Threads to be used as an independent platform. Accordingly, the platform was opened in Turkey with the acceptance of the new solutions offered by Meta.
